2 cups cooked barley
2 15-ounce cans pinto beans, drained
1 onion, diced
1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
1⁄2 cup water
1⁄4 cup brown sugar
1⁄3 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons molasses
2 teaspoons mustard powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 300°F.
Combine all ingredients in a large casserole or baking dish. Cover, and bake for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Uncover and bake for 15 more minutes or until thick and saucy.
