    2 cups rolled oats

    21⁄2 tablespoons toasted wheat germ

    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    6 tablespoons apple juice

    2 tablespoons canola oil

    1 tablespoon unsalted butter

    2 tablespoons brown sugar

    1 cup raisins

    Preheat oven to 250°F.
    In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats and wheat germ. Stir in the ground cinnamon, apple juice, canola oil, and butter, blending thoroughly.
    Spread the mixture on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, stirring regularly. Remove from the oven.
    Pour the granola back into the mixing bowl. Stir in the brown sugar and raisins. Spread the mixture back onto the baking sheet. Cook for another 15–20 minutes or until the granola is golden brown. Let cool. Store in a sealed container.
