Ingredients

  • ½ cup (120 ml / 4.1 fl oz) old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ¼ cup (60 ml / 2 fl oz) vegan unsweetened protein powder
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) hulled hemp seeds
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) cracked flaxseed
  • ¼ cup (60 ml / 2 fl oz) unsweetened dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup (60 ml / 2 fl oz) vegan semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 cup (240 ml) all-natural peanut butter, sugar and salt-free
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) brown-rice syrup or maple syrup
  • For perfectly uniform kisses, use a small cookie scoop to portion the dough before rolling.
  • If the mixture seems too dry and crumbly, add a teaspoon of water or more syrup. If it's too sticky, add a tablespoon of oats or protein powder until it's easy to handle.
  • Feel free to customize! Swap the cranberries for chopped dates or apricots, or use almond butter instead of peanut butter for a different flavor profile.
  • Store these kisses in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or in the freezer for up to one month for a quick grab-and-go snack.

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine all the dry : oats, protein powder, hemp seeds, flaxseed, dried cranberries, chocolate chips, and sea salt.
  2. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly distributed.
  3. Add the all-natural peanut butter and your choice of syrup to the dry .
  4. Using a sturdy spoon or your hands, mix and knead the mixture until it's thoroughly combined and holds together like a dough.
  5. Use a mini ice-cream scoop or a rounded teaspoon to portion the dough.
  6. Roll each portion between your hands to form a smooth, bite-sized ball.
  7. For a classic 'kiss' look, wrap each ball in a small square of aluminum foil and twist the top to seal. Alternatively, store them unwrapped in an airtight container.
